Viggo Mortensen on Charlie Rose

These are autographs made out to me.
These are autographs by various Lord of the Rings cast members. Please don't copy and sell any of these on Ebay or your computer will turn into a solid block of rancid liverwurst. Thank you.

Billy Boyd
Billy Boyd played Pippin Took in the Lord of the Rings.

This is a Medieval manuscript-style page I did for Billy (he has a copy) depicting Pippin swearing fealty to Denethor, with some of the text from Tolkien.

Click for larger version.
John Rhys-Davies
John Rhys-Davies played Gimli in the Lord of the Rings. This is the trading card Alesia (Wednesday Addams) had him sign for me at Origins, a gaming convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
Sala Baker
Sala Baker is a big Maori guy who played Sauron in Lord of the Rings. He signs with "koru", a Maori symbol. (The swirl.)
Dominic Monaghan
Dom played Merry in Lord of the Rings. The squiggle next to his name here is becoming known as the "Dom Rune" among fans. He did some extra squiggles on mine, which was signed at a Fan Club breakfast. Thanks to Alison for taking my book along!!
Viggo Mortensen
Viggo Mortensen plays Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. He was at a booksigning in Manhattan when he signed my book here. However, beforehand he signed my copy of Signlanguage, his art book. Click on his pic here for the funny outcome of that!

It was my fault, really. I'd given him a Wee Scarvie and had been so stunned by the fact that he'd tied it to his ponamu (his NZ greenstone pendant) that I forgot to tell him how to spell my name. On the other hand, the second time he spelled it with a Y was his own fault. Tee hee hee. I laughed at the man in front of 150 fangirls. Go me!
Lawrence Makoare
You can just make out his eye in this picture (he's drawing a bow), but Lawrence played Lurtz in the Lord of the Rings. Lurtz is a big ugly Uruk-Hai prototype, and Lawrence was completely encased in a body-suit for the role. I understand that to aid in its removal, KY jelly was liberally smeared all over him. Go Lawrence!

Now, you'll notice that Lawrence spelled my name with a Y too. But, who's going to argue with Lurtz?
Sean Astin
Sean was standing up, with no table to lean against, on September 11, 2002 in front of the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, surrounded by Maryland/D.C./Northern VA fangirls. Kudos to him for actually having it be recognizably his name.
