A note about imposters:

Please note that there are a number of unscrupulous and devious people out there who pretend, for one reason or another, to be celebrities on the internet. Please note that unless it's an official, advertised chat on an official site, it's not them.

The actors from Lord of the Rings would never email or instant message you, so if you think you are getting emails from or having conversations with one of the actors, they're a fake.

They would also never post to a fan site. Particularly not now when there are so many imposters out there. There would always be a question as to their legitimacy. So if they never post, they can say, "I never post, therefore if you see a post by 'me', it's a fake."

Usually these sickos are simply giving themselves an ego-boost by fooling people into thinking they're somebody more significant, which is pathetic. But potentially they could even be dangerous. Please don't give out your email address or personal information to anyone on the internet. Um, unless you want a Wee Scarvie, that is. (See Fellowship of the Wee Scarvies page.) But not to anyone else!!

The One Ring.net (TORN) The not-really-official, but very popular general Tolkien/LOTR movies site. News, chatroom, and discussion boards.
Billy Boyd.net Official site of the actor, Billy Boyd. With interviews, diary entries, biography, and personal photos of him that you probably won't find anywhere else. They're his personal pictures, not photos taken by photographers or fans. Please don't rip them off and post them on your own site, has others have done. Naughty naughty.

Panta Loons This is a forum created by Billy's fans after his forum closed on November 7, 2003, after having been up for two years and creating a large community of fans, who then wanted a new home. Many of the old bb.net folks reside here.
Loon Chat A chatroom created and run by Drokka, one of Billy's fans. This chatroom was set up as a place to go when the regulars in Billy's official chatroom (which had always been brigadoonesque to begin with) also closed, in the spring of 2003.
BBnetactivities A Yahoo group for Billy's fans, where we plan projects and gifts for him, as well as where to meet up for various appearances and events.
BB Loons Charities A chance for Billy Boyd fans to show their quality. Ahem. I mean, for Billy's fans to donate to charities! Billy has supported Help the Aged in the past, and we donate to this charity and also to the John Muir Trust. Check it out!
The Eowyn Challenge For many of us, our weight, health and/or self-esteem have felt like cages, and we have decided to break free.
