Welcome to Jennie's site!
This site is sort of constantly in a state of flux. It started out more me and my family, with a little bit of Lord of the Rings/Billy Boyd. But that aspect of it seems to be taking up more and more of the pages.
Therefore, I think that bit needs a little clarification. The "I-Con" pages refer to the Science Fiction convention on Long Island in April of 2002, when about 75 Billy Boyd fans (termed "loons") drove and flew to New York to meet Billy Boyd. On Friday of the same weekend, we met Viggo Mortensen at a booksigning in Manhattan. The diary pages will hopefully make the reader feel as if they were there. That was the idea. It was originally 46 handwritten pages.
The Fellowship of the Wee Scarvies page will explain what they are and who has them. More of these pages will be added as needed, but this site is a free site, and so I'm limited to the number of photos per page on the template I've chosen. And I'm running out of room. The Loon Photos page has group shots of some of the local Billy Boyd fans from Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia. This page and the autographs page might be sacrificed in the future to make room for more Scarvies pages.
The rest of the site has picture of my adorable son and daughter at home and at various events and activities over the last few years. I'll be phasing out old pics of myself to make room for more of these. There's also a page of "Family/Jennie" which may change. It's currently older pics of me (like the ones on this page, which don't really represent my current appearance), friends, family, and funny things I've seen over the years. There are some pics of Tibby as a baby. I may archive some baby shots of Rory here, as well.

August 2002. I added a "Fellowship of the Wee Scarvies" page, with pics of celebrities receiving them. Also an Autographs page with scans of autographs from various celebrities, and Pennsic XXXI page!

9/19/2002, a counter on the Wee Scarvies page.
11/16/2002, got rid of unused guest book page and Pennsic XXXI page. Expanded Loon Group Photos (in old Pennsic slot), and added pics from the Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World wrap party. I've done a detailed analysis of the extended version of the LOTR: FOTR DVD. It's on its own page, too. Warning: It's really long and will spoil the additions if you haven't seen it yet.
Integrated I-Con photos into I-Con pages and deleted old page for future use as Wee Scarvies 2. In 2003 I added another Wee Scarvie page, and added a page for my new son, Rory! The Wrap Party pics had to go, though. Pages are at a premium 'round here. I also added a page of a transcript I made of Viggo Mortensen on the Charlie Rose Show in the spring of 2003. He made some political statements, and there has been ongoing discussion about them on several sites. I wanted a place to post the text so it could be discussed accurately. Not much happened until 2007, when Orlando Bloom finally received his Wee Scarvie, completing the scarvieing of the entire Fellowship. Thanks to Alesia (Wednesday Addams) for accomplishing this amazing feat by pinning the boy down while he was at the ORC convention in March of 2007 at the performance of Beecake, Billy Boyd's band. Apparently Mr. Bloom was in the audience with Viggo and Dom, and Alesia managed to pin a scarvie on him. We've done it! :D Jennie |
