The hunt for celebrity members continues . . .
In 2003, we managed to get even more cast and crew members inducted into our wee Fellowship, thanks to various "Scarvie Agents" around the globe.

Bruce Hopkins!
Thanks to Fellowship of the Wee Scarvies member/agent Hobbitfanatic, Bruce Hopkins (Gamling) got his at Collectormania3, in Milton Keynes, England in early May 2003. A couple of weeks later he was at the Motor City Comic Con, where he spotted Elf_Addict and Wednesday Addams wearing their Wee Scarvies, and said, "Hey! I've got one of those, too. It's in my suitcase somewhere." Bruce is reportedly, "An absolute doll!" (Click for Silly Bruce pic.) |

Daniel Falconer!
Then in July, Daniel Falconer of WETA Workshop was "scarvied" by Wednesday Addams and Elf_Addict at GenCon in Indiana.

Greg Tozer!
At Comic Con in San Diego, Da Girl in Da Jeans (Dij), Garfeimao, and Gonzai got Greg Tozer, the WETA guy in charge of the Rohan armor. Gonzai and Garf apparently hunted around their persons and couldn't find any, but trusty Dij had a handful in her purse, and explained our little "Fellowship." As you can see, he wore it as a bracelet during the day. |

Logan of Emerald Rose!
As you may or may not know, at the TORn Oscar Party 2003, Billy picked up a guitar which was on the stage where the band, Emerald Rose, had been playing. He goofed around playing air guitar with it for a bit, to the delight of the crowd. At Dragon Con in Atlanta, Kunga saw Emerald Rose play, and during one of their performances, they mentioned that the guitar their lead guitarist plays is in fact the very one Billy had picked up during the TORn Oscar Party, to the cheers of Billy's fans in the audience. Scarvie Agent Kunga chatted later with the guitarist, Logan Sullivan, and inducted him into our wee Fellowship! He said he'd love to have one for the guitar, and couldn't get it out of the case fast enough. He had to get the guitar strap on and actually wear the guitar while putting the scarvie on it! So the famous guitar now bears a Wee Scarvie of its very own! Thanks, Kunga!

Best of Both Worlds 19
Sam from Australia went to Best of Both Worlds 19 in Canberra in late September 2003, where their Lord of the Rings themed convention included this great group of new FOTWS members, Sarah McLeod (Rosie Cotton), Craig Parker (Haldir), John Noble (Denethor), Ben Wootten (WETA), and David Weatherly (Barliman Butterbur)! They all loved them! Unfortunately, they'd all stuffed their Wee Scarvies in their pocket by the time Sam got her camera out, but here's a warm fellowship picture of them. Sam explained Wee Scarvies, but also said if they had any questions, they should ask Bruce, who was also there. Heh. I can just imagine his reaction to the whole gang saying, "Okay, so what's with these little braids?" |

Brent McIntyre!
The Witch King! Brent wore his on his finger all day after Scarvie Agent Gonzai gave him his at Collectormania4 in early October 2003. We've now got all bad guys except Christopher Lee!

Tony Woolf!
Tony Woolf was in Chicago the weekend of November 1st 2003 to teach a workshop in stage and film combat. Tony created the cultural fighting styles for all the races in the Lord of the Rings movies. ShelaghC got him a Wee Scarvie. Thanks, Shelagh!Would you like to be a member of the Fellowship of the Wee Scarvies, and join the nearly 1000 people who own them worldwide? If you visit billyboyd.net or are just a fan of Billy/Pippin, that makes you a loon, and as a loon you are entitled to be a member of the Fellowship of the Wee Scarvies. It doesn't matter if you've been there for two days or six months. A loon is a loon. If you want a wee scarvie, just email me at jenniearcheo@comcast.net, and I'll send one out.
Don't worry about postage. Even to New Zealand it's less than a dollar. And they cost pennies to make, and only take a few minutes. Really. It's nae bother.
Are you going to a convention, signing, premiere, or some other event where we may catch other cast and crew members? Let me know and I'll send out extras for you. You too can be a Scarvie Agent. Just remember to take your camera, and catch the moment on film (or pixels) for the rest of us! Hugs, Jennie
